About Sabie
Sabie nestles in one of the world's largest man-made forests,surrounded by over a million acres of pine and blue-gum trees.
The town was reportedly born thanks to a drunken and misguided gunshot from a member of a visiting huntingparty - a stray bullet hit hit a rock, exposing gold and setting off yet another gold rush in this region.
Sabie has a variety of things to do which includes:
Mountain Biking, Abseiling, Bungi jumping, hiking.
There is allot of beautiful waterfalls in Sabie.
Waterfall Route
A popular round trip of less than 100km between Graskop and Sabie will put you in easy reach of some the region's finest waterfalls, seven in total if you extend your trip an extra 60 km or so.
Sabie Forestry Museum
With all the pine and blue gum forest you have seen come and have a look at what they do with all the wood. Situated in Ford Street, Sabie.
